The Melrose Area Elementary School Program (Grades PreK – 5) provides an excellent basic education program that emphasizes strong reading skills. The elementary accelerated reading and math programs provide an excellent supplemental individualized method to increase reading and math skills. This new approach, along with basic reading instruction, has improved our reading scores as well as enhanced a renewed interest in reading. The elementary school’s small class sizes have also enabled opportunities for improved learning. The outstanding special education staff and program provides quality support to students who qualify for this program.
